Last summer and fall, when most of my coworkers were completing this training, I was extremely pregnant and unable to think of anything but nursery colors, crib bedding, and of course...baby names! Not exactly high-tech stuff. Now that Juliet (good name, right?) is here and I am back at work though, I feel a little bit like I have been living on another planet. Partly because it has been freezing and snowy since she was born and I rarely left my house, but also because I have been completely out of touch with...well, with everything.
So, I am looking forward to this training as an opportunity to come back from Planet New Mommy and dive back in to what is going on in the real world, especially the library world. While I'm pretty sure I was familiar with a lot of the "Things" before Juliet was born, the part of my brain that held that information has definitely been lying dormant for at least six months and I am ready to wake it up.
